Yakima FoldClick 2 Bike Tow Ball Mounted Carrier (8002495)

The Yakima FoldClick is one of the best carriers with a reasonable price point and an array of great features. It has the ability to fold up into a package which is the approximate size of a suitcase, making it easy to store and handle, along with integrated sleek lights and high-quality finishes. 

It can carry a huge range of bicycle types and sizes with its impressive range of features and adjustments possible. The FoldClick can accommodate bikes with a wheelbase of between 500mm to 1250mm and maximum tire width is 4-inches. This can be expanded to accommodate even bigger fat bike tires using the Yakima Long Wheel Strap Kit. The carrier can also fit wheel diameters of between 20-inch to 29-inch and frame diameters ranging from 22mm to 80mm. Plus it has a total dynamic weight capacity of up to a hefty total of 58kg, making it suitable for most ebikes. All in all these faetures make it suitable for a huge range of bike sizes and types, there are some exceptions though such as very long wheelbase bikes.

The FoldClick secures your bikes via their frame, although this provides a rock solid attachment to your bikes and features padding on the clamps it may be unsuitable for bikes with sensitive finishes such as carbon bikes, there are carbon frame pads available separately though.

To reduce the possibility of your bikes rubbing against each other during transit the FoldClick allows a generous 22cm spacing between your bikes so the chance of bike-to-bike interference is very slim.

With Yakima's JustClick mounting system, securing the rack to your vehicle is amazingly easy and yet also rock solid. This is aided by the FoldClick's super light 16.3kg weight. This system takes all the guesswork out of fitting the carrier by making an audible click sound when in place plus it has an indicator which turns green to show you when it's correctly secured. Loading and unloading your bikes is also a cinch, and you can make it easier with Yakima's optional loading ramp, especially useful for e-bikes.

The tilting system allows you to access the rear of your vehicle with bikes loaded, a great feature which adds yet another level of convenience.

Locks are included to secure the rack to your vehicle and your bikes to the rack, and because they're integrated, they're more effective vs cable type locks, giving you greater peace of mind when your vehicle is unattended. Unfortunately, this carrier uses a different barrel system to the Yakima SKS lock system so it cannot be keyed alike to your other Yakima products. 

The integrated lights and number plate holder are another great feature which provides you with an extra layer of safety on the road and for legal compliance. This connects to your vehicle using a 7 pin flat adaptor plug.

The JustClick is supplied with a tow ball which meets Australian standards and will also fit European tow balls.
