The ProRide 598 is perhaps the most popular bike carrier in the world, with a swathe of features and proven reliability all combined with stupendous build quality, this is a truly outstanding bike carrier.
Thule have built this carrier with ease of use in mind, including a tool-free system which allows users to switch the carrier from passenger to driver's side in a matter of minutes.
The frame holder is also beautifully designed. The soft pads of the claw spread pressure evenly on the frame and the extended lower jaw gives greater stability while loading and driving. The torque limiter dial provides the exact correct pressure to be placed on the frame, providing excellent stability while minimising the chances of damaging your frame's finish. The new design of the frame holder and wheel trays allows the bike to be automatically positioned when you secure the bike, although this seems like a small detail it will save you time fiddling with trays to line everything up while securing your bike. In addition the diagonal orientated wheel straps adds further stability to the package.
Available in silver or black, and both models have a class leading 20kg bike load limit.
There is an additional accessory for Fat Bikes, the Thule FatBike adaptor and for those with carbon framed bikes Thule recommend the patented carbon frame adaptor for added protection of your bike's finish.
The instructions with the ProRide are comprehensive and provide you with all the information you need to install the carrier yourself. Please have a look at the instruction manual to preview the process. The ProRide also comes almost completely pre-assembled, with no tools required, making the task of fitting even easier again.

We are often asked if the carrier is safe and can hold a bike in emergency braking situations or other extreme circumstances.
