Yakima's tried and tested JayLow kayak or canoe carrier's flexibility, quality, and pricing has made it one of the most popular around. This is the latest updated version.
Firstly, this carrier can be used in two ways to carry either one or two watercraft. You can use it in an angled j-cradle setting, or a vertical setting to allow for two boats to be carried, and adjustments are very simple with an integrated cam lever. The JayLow also folds flat when not in use so you can leave it on your car and still have minimal wind noise.
Weight capacity is a generous 36kg when carrying one boat, and up to 50kg combined weight when carrying two boats.
The Jaylow mounts to a wide variety of crossbars including Yakima StreamLine, round, square, factory, and aerodynamic bars. It also comes fully assembled and fitting requires no tools to install. For more details on installation please refer to the instructions. Note that a minimum crossbar spread of 61cm is needed to use this carrier.
It includes heavy-duty straps plus bow and stern tie-down straps. This updated version also includes locks to secure the carrier to your rack, which can be key matched to your other Yakima products for added convenience.
